One helpful hint -- a tall coffee mug works better than a shallow cup.
Also -- POUR WATER VERY SLOWLY. Why? So the coffee grounds can properly "bloom". Start by pouring in just enough very hot water (200°F/93°C) to soak the dry grounds then pause 20-30 seconds.
Pour in approximately 7 - 8 oz total of hot water -- no more or it may be too weak (adjust to taste). The coffee filter may dip slightly in the coffee but this is normal. Simply remove the filter without delay and dispose.
